Welcome to the WI -Flyers (Farnborough). This is your WI.
The WI-Flyers are run by a committee selected from the membership each year. We are a group of local women who meet on the 4th Wednesday of each month. At every meeting there will be a speaker and or a planned activity. See the Events Diary.
Activity Groups
Besides the monthly meeting we have a Book Group which meets every six weeks in the Prince of Wales Pub. A Walking Group who meet about every 6 months. We also have an outings group which was very active before the Pandemic and hope to start planning trips again. We would love to run a craft club when we find the right person to run it! Hart Group of WIs.
The WI-Flyers Farnborough is part of a larger group of WIs called Hart Group.
There are 11 WIs in Hart Group from our local area. The Group meet twice a year and hold a Christmas Carol Service and compete against each other in Federation Competitions, such as Quiz and Darts.
Each WI takes it in turn to organise the years events.

Hampshire WI
The WI-Flyers (Farnborough) are part of Hampshire Federation of WI’s. Every WI is self-governing within the framework of the WI constitution and belongs to a regional office, known as a federation. These 69 federations are run by an elected board of members known as Federation Trustees and employed staff. Federations are the link between the WI in their area and the WI’s national office in London. The Federation oversees all of the Hampshire WI’s (of which there are about 200 and approximately 6500 members). There are 12 Trustees in our Federation with Helen Carter being the Chairman at present, Tracy Baker is the Federation Treasurer, Katrina Kemp First Vice Chair and Jacquie Carver second Vice Chair.
